Scrub or circle?

With a CURAPROX CS 5460 toothbrush held always at an angle: holding correctly is just as important as technique when brushing.

Even the handle is different: the CURAPROX CS 5460 ultra soft toothbrush has a hexagonally shaped handle. This makes it easy to hold the toothbrush correctly for cleaning, at roughly a 45-degree angle, half on the gum, half on the tooth.

Always at an angle: this basic position helps you to clean your teeth and gum line most effectively and a CS 5460 ultra soft makes it truly easy for you.

Useful helpers - Various brushing techniques

Various brushing techniques

At present, various brushing techniques are known for dental care. Using the "red-white" method, i.e. short scrubbing motions from the gum (red) towards the tooth (white), brushes plaque efficiently from the teeth. If the Bass teeth-cleaning technique is used, short vibrating movements are needed. The COI method describes the right order: C-hewing surface, O-utside, I-nside.

The one thing that all these methods have in common is holding the brush at a 45-degree angle. This angled approach is particularly decisive for the gentle care of the gum line (sulcus). The area between tooth and gum is where soft plaque quickly accumulates. Bristles access the gum line most effectively with gentle, circular movements.

Systematic

Whatever you choose: simply just scrubbing hard is not the right approach and actually damages the gums, as well as exposing the necks of teeth.

Basically, use hardly any pressure when brushing your teeth and always use the same routine, holding the brush at an angle. Not only is the hexagonal handle of a CS 5460 ultra soft toothbrush helpful, but also its compact brush head: used at a steep angle, the toothbrush can also easily access the back molars as well as inside the front teeth.

Initially, remembering all these points takes a bit of getting used to. Regular checks on progress with a dental professional are therefore encouraged.

Useful helpers - Dance!

Dance!

To get into the rhythm why not try this: play some catchy music, now let the movement come from your hips: circle your pelvis in time with the music. Let the music take control and you'll notice that, even with a fast-paced rhythm, the movement will still be gentle, even supple.

This is how it works when brushing with a CS 5460 ultra soft.
