Hammaste õige harjamistehnika

Hammaste õige harjamistehnika

Trikk seisneb selles:

Aseta hari väikese nurga all pooleldi igemetele, pooleldi hammastele ja harja väikeste ringjate liigutustega, ilma survet avaldamata.

Detailne juhend

Järgmised juhised aitavad teil hambaid krralikult puhtaks pesta.

Kasulikud abimehed - Lower row of teeth

Lower row of teeth

1. Positioning: start with the outside of the lower row of teeth. Position the CS 5460 ultra soft at the rear-most molar, half on the gums, half on the tooth. Angle the brush head slightly towards the gums, at approx. 45 degrees. That is much simpler than it sounds: the CS 5460 ultra soft has an octagonal handle, making it very easy for you to hold the brush at the correct angle.

2. Around the outside: now move the brush in short circular movements from the back molar across the two front teeth to the back molar on the other side of the jaw. Take time and focus on each individual tooth, performing five to ten of these short circular movements. Go round the back molar with small strokes and continue on the inside of the lower row of teeth (see 3.)

3. Around the inside: work your way across all the teeth in small, almost pressure-free circular movement until you reach the other back molar from where you had started (see 1.)

4. Go round this molar with short gentle circular movements. It helps to keep the CS 5460 ultra soft as vertical as possible.

5. Positioning: keep the CS 5460 ultra soft as vertical as possible so that part of the inside of the front teeth and part of the gums are covered. At this steep angle, move the brush in short gentle movements, first on the inside of a tooth, then on the other. The reason why this area needs to be cleaned in this way is because it is too narrow to keep the brush on its side. However, this is an area that requires particularly diligent cleaning, because the salivary gland located just below the front teeth results in a considerable flow of saliva. In consequence, this is the area where most plaque develops.

6. Around the outside: here again, you start with the outside of the rear-most molar. Position the CS 5460 ultra soft at an angle and proceed with cleaning as described under 1), 2) and 3). Keep the brush head at a slight angle to the gums (about 45 degrees); work the brush forward in short circular movements from the rear molar via the incisors to the rear molar on the other side of the jaw. Go around the molar in small movements and continue on the inside row of teeth. Again precede in short circular movement with almost no pressure, until you get back to the molar from where you had started.

7. Go round each of these rear molars with short gentle circular movements. It helps to keep the CS 5460 ultra soft as vertical as possible.

8. Steep angle, circular movements: clean the inside of the front incisors the same way as your additional cleaning of the insides of the lower ones, see 4) and 5). Hold the CS 5460 ultra soft at a steep angle so that part of the inside of the tooth and part of the gum are covered. Then brush in short circular movements, first the inside of one front tooth, then of the other.

Kasulikud abimehed - Chewing surfaces

Chewing surfaces

9. Children in particular need to clean the chewing surfaces carefully. Start at the back and work your way forward slowly in short back-and-forth movements. With increasing age, it may be possible that there is less need to clean the chewing surfaces. However, only a dental professional can make that assessment on an individual basis.

Each person is different

As is each mouth, each tooth and each interdental space. For that reason, optimal teeth cleaning needs to be adapted to the individual anatomy, age and ability of each person. Ask your dental professionals for advice and training. Perfect, effective and at the same time gentle brushing of teeth cannot be learned just by reading about it. Practice makes perfect!

Professional help

Have your cleaning technique regularly checked by a dental professional. They will be able to tell you exactly which interdental spaces to clean by flossing and where interdental brushes are the ideal choice.
