What causes gum bleeding? Our mouth is laced with blood vessels. These vessels and capillaries are essential to healing, regeneration and the overall health of our mouth. When there is an inflammation, the body increases the number of blood vessels and the overall volume of tissue. As a result, you might experience bleeding after as little as chewing hard foods or brushing with an old or hard toothbrush. This is still not a reason to panic. It might be a sign of early stages of gum disease, which is easily reversible. Once you notice bleeding, visit your dentist and pay more attention to your proper oral hygiene: clean between your teeth on a daily basis, and brush diligently with a soft toothbrush, without putting too much pressure on your gums. Stay healthy 🇨🇭
The Curaprox Hydrosonic pro is a lightweight and powerful toothbrush with an ergonomic handle and brush head to ensure perfect accessibility and a firm grip. Unlike rotating brush heads, the Hydrosonic Pro uses a simple vertical to-and-fro movement. Such a movement is more gentle to your gums and provides additional hydrodynamic effects. Where does bad breath come from? Bad breath comes from four main sources: 👉Most often, it’s the bacteria in a person’s mouth. In themselves, bacteria are odourless. What we smell is the product of their existence. Bacteria find nutrients on our teeth, digest those nutrients, extract energy required for the bacteria to breed, and, well… excrete gas. 👉For chronic smokers, it can be from residue in their lungs and trachea. 👉Some foods and drinks can leave a distinctive smell, e.g. coffee, garlic, spices. 👉Less often, it’s a sign of disease: kidneys, stomach or severe systemic disorders. If you don’t smoke and don’t suffer from chronic disease, the most likely source of bad breath is bacteria. Luckily, with proper oral care, it is easy to manage.
Flossing or interdental brushing? 📍 Studies showed that interdental brushes are significantly more effective and less aggressive than floss. Dentists also point to the fact that floss can cut into gums and damage them, while the interdental brush doesn’t do that. However, some places will only allow access by floss, and your dentist will indicate this if needed. 📍 Interdental brushes go between your teeth and destroy the structures of the biofilm. A simple in-and-out movement is usually enough. The brush is then rinsed clean and can be reused. 📍 Unlike dental floss, interdental brushes have bristles that get into all corners and spaces and clean out the plaque. This makes it more effective than floss.
